Kinson Camera Club and its Members
Kinson Camera Club runs a series of competitions throughout the season.
Six formal league competition evenings to the season which go towards prestigious awards made by the club.
Two entries are allowed in each category(except slides where three are permitted), Monochrome, Alan Hoff, Ruth Austen, Slides and new for this season Digital. Subjects for the entries are open with the exception of two set subjects in each of the categories on two of the competition evenings. An external judge is appointed to cast comment, opinion and award marks on each entry.
Entries to these competitions can then be used as entries to inter club competitions organised by SAPA (The Stour And Avon Photographic Association.
Print Of The Year is open to any member that has entered their prints in the league throughout the current season, we have two categories Monochrome and Colour Prints from Alan Hoff and Ruth Austen. A maximum of four entries in each category is permitted. An external judge is appointed to pass comment and choose a winner and runner up.
Slide of The Year is open to any member that has entered the Slide league throughout the current season. A maximum of four slides per member is permitted. An external judge is appointed to pass comment and choose an overall winner and runner up.
Digital File Of The Year is open to any member that has entered the Digital league throughout the current season. A maximum of four images per member is permitted. An external judge is appointed to pass comment and choose an overall winner and runner up.( Due to the time required in transferring images to laptop the entries to this competition must be handed to our competition secretary before the allotted evening. There will be no entries excepted on the night.)
Fun Competitions are also held during the season, we ask one of our members if he or she would do the judging on these evenings, it has proved to be a very entertaining evening.
